ScrapTire.com.au is an independent information resource built to help people understand used tyre disposal and recycling — real answers on what pays, what costs a fee, and how to dispose of tyres responsibly.
Why We Built This
Most scrap pricing information online focuses on metals and skips tyres entirely, or treats them as an afterthought. We wanted something different: specific, honest answers to the exact questions someone disposing of used tyres actually has — including the uncomfortable truth that most tyres cost a fee rather than pay out — grounded in how tyre recycling really works, not marketing copy.
Part of the ScrapTrade Network
ScrapTire.com.au is part of the ScrapTrade network — an online scrap trading marketplace connecting verified buyers and sellers of scrap metal, e-waste, batteries, and more. Where this site focuses on answering the tyre disposal questions that come before you get rid of your material, ScrapTrade is where the actual transaction happens: list what you have, receive offers from business-verified buyers, and get paid or arrange disposal through secure escrow.
We built this site because the same tyre disposal questions kept coming up from sellers on the platform — this is those answers, in one place.
What We’re Not
We’re not a scrap yard, and we don’t buy or dispose of material directly through this site — this is an information resource, not a marketplace. For actual disposal or sale, head to ScrapTrade.
Ready to sell or dispose of tyres and wheels without the guesswork? ScrapTrade connects verified buyers and sellers with escrow-protected payments and transparent weighing.
